In accepting the award, Ms. Dee commented: “I have always felt that teaching dance is more than just ‘the steps.’ It is about life lessons, team work, family, discipline, accomplishment, goals and so much more. I have been given such a beautiful gift to be able to teach and pass down the traditions of dance, especially in the art form of tap. I have spent much of my professional teaching career on convention and competition platforms, so receiving a lifetime achievement award from The ADCC is an honor that I will cherish.”
