As a professional association of US dance competitions and conventions, the ADCC has been working with our members, some 40 competition/convention owners from across the country, regarding the Coronavirus | COVID-19 that has so adversely affected the 2020 season.
We are working together as the collective of independent dance competitions and conventions, supporting our members through discussion and sharing precautionary measures to help ensure that all attendees may attend/compete in a safe and secure environment.
The ADCC has set up an emergency line of communication for our competition and convention members to share information and is also holding several emergency conference calls recently to further discuss this fast-moving situation.
The ADCC will continue to host weekly/bi-weekly calls as needed so that our membership as a unified body can best serve the industry while keeping our dancers and their families safe.
Our member competitions and conventions are putting in place safety precautions to ensure that their events are the best and safest that they can be for participating dancers, including postponing or rescheduling events if and when that becomes necessary.
In addition, the ADCC has released an Official Statement for Studio Directors and Dance Families, which has been widely shared by our members and media partners.
The ADCC will also post and update COVID-19 related resources for members at the top of our Resources page, including state-by-state emergency orders.
